Who is it for?
A Must-Have Supplementary Course for All Guitar Players, From Beginner to Advanced.
Pain Points of Guitar Players: Missing Piece
As we have Limited Time in our Regular Music Lessons, we focus on theory, techniques, rhythms, and repertoire, leaving little or no time for scales or dexterity practice.
Due to Lack of Focus on Finger Dexterity and Scales most Guitarists struggle with these areas, as it requires separate dedicated time. This program fills that gap.Â
What is exceptional leading and dexterity?
Exceptional finger dexterity in guitarists is rare—less than 1%. Exceptional dexterity involves 3-octave run-ability, 6-string movement, and a deep understanding of scales, modes, and their altered forms, enabling smooth transitions between them. It also requires the knowledge and application of various techniques such as tremolo-picking, sweep-picking, arpeggios, the pyramid technique, and more, along with mastering related riffs, exercises, and repertoire at a startling speed of 360-600 BPM. Without overcoming these challenges, achieving guitar mastery remains out of reach. Our playing needs more than just technical ability to reach a divine level of performance. This workshop is designed to bridge that gap, overcome these struggles, and push beyond the limitations of your hands.
This is because regular music lessons often prioritize broader aspects like theory, techniques, rhythms, scales, and repertoire, leaving little time to specifically develop finger dexterity. While these elements are essential for overall musical growth, they don’t dedicate enough focus to the crucial skill of finger movement.
That’s why we have brought “THE CRYING SCALES“—an essential certificate course for guitarists, from beginner to pro, designed to give you focused time to develop finger dexterity and scales separately—is an area that most guitarists overlook. To conclude, this course is led under the expert guidance of Kapil Srivastava Sir.
Why call it ‘The Crying Scales?’
The philosophy of “The Crying Scales” is about falling in love with the expressive power of scales, where Eastern Raga scales meet Western traditions to evoke unique emotions and stories. Through the art of playing scales, we can convey a wide range of life’s messages and moods, with each scale unlocking its own emotional journey. In this workshop, we will explore and discover these emotions and scale exercises. This becomes possible through a deep understanding of scales, mastery of playability, and the freedom of finger movement on the guitar.
Scales are a Therapy – if you know how to execute them, and blending them with ragas is another level of satisfaction in guitar playing.
