Music for Cancer — Winning the Battle, a movement to spread awareness and support cancer victims with funds and emotional care. Guitarmonk is connecting more than 10 thousand cancer patients across India with ‘Music for Health’ album & live musical greetings. The movement is partnered by leading Doctors reference, associations & hospitals at prime cities of India. The movement share smiles, cheerful music activities, inculcating confidence & enthusiasm among cancer patients besides creating mass awareness on ‘Cancer’ & the message that — ‘Cancer is Curable’. Knowing – how cancer can be prevented to live a healthier and longer life?
The Danger of Cancer (Facts) – Approximately 6 Lakh people dies of cancer every month globally i.e. 7.6 million every year. If no action is taken, the worldwide cancer burden is expected to reach 26 million new diagnoses and 17 million deaths by the year 2030.
30-40% of cancers can be prevented, and one-third of cancers can be cured through early diagnosis and treatment.

The Concept of Doctor’s Day
Doctor’s Day event is first ever historical initiative, pioneered by Guitarmonk, wherein we visit and thank role model doctors/opinion leaders of medical fraternity, through live musical greeting, gifting bouquets and our specially produced music therapy Album Gift for Doctors.
Doctor’s Day Movement by Guitarmonk (2010-2012)
Doctor’s Day Celebration became the 1st ever successful social concept and initiative of the times and a pioneer social event at a PAN India. The event was further honored by Health Ministry and participated by various responsible brands.
Year 2012 is a unique celebration at PAN India where guitarmonk is honoring thousands of doctors and life-savers.

Guitarmonk last years Doctor’s Day celebrations (Excerpts)
Guitarmonk celebrated Doctor’s Day in a very unique and never before way and greeted hundreds of Doctors with bouquet, greeting, therapy album and musical tunes. The event carried for more than 2 weeks and appreciated by government of delhi professor Mrs. Kiran Walia. Event associations also included Dr. Lal path labs, blackberry’s, club Mahindra, surat diamonds etc.
This became a historical initiative in the medical history of India and worldwide. The Doctors covered were also included the opinion leaders, award winning, leading doctors of medical fraternity as Members & CEO of Batra Hospital, AIIMS, Apollo, MAX etc. and much more in different specialties. They were surprised, overwhelmed on this cause and felt very happy and elated.
Our objective behind this movement was to connect to the mass, and doctor’s day was a great opportunity to connect medical fraternity and general public. Doctors gave their messages and feeling about their profession. The highlights of event included – .

Yuvraj Singh is discharged from hospital after completing his final chemotherapy cycle
Yuvraj Singh got discharged from hospital after completing his Chemotherapy cycle for cancerous tumour.
Yuvraj is taking treatment for cance at Boston, United States. The 30-year-old has gone bald during the treatment.
“3rd chemo cycles over, back from hospital n I am free. Road to recovery starts now. Can’t wait to be back home,” Yuvraj tweeted.
